DORMA Group :: Trade Show Content Package

DORMA Group North America, a manufacturer of complete door systems, has a large number of product options for commercial projects.  For AIA 2010, they wanted to showcase some of the high profile projects they’ve been apart of not only domestically but internationally as well.  DORMA wanted to impress upon attendees that a humble and simple idea sketched on a napkin can become a reality, “If you can dream it. We can build it.”

There were to be three video configurations around the booth: upper rear-projection screens, outward facing LCDs, and inward interactive monitors. Collaborating with DORMA, Blue Pony set to identify and achieve goals for each configuration.

  • Upper rear-projection screens identified DORMA from a distance.
  • Outward facing LCDs engaged the audience.
  • Interactive touch screens informed viewers and cross-sold products.

Looping corporate videos were designed for the rear-projection screens and LCD monitors.  These videos displayed napkin sketch images that transformed into sleek and refined imagery of DORMA projects.  The corporate videos also represented and reinforced DORMA branding.  The interactive components provided more information and additional photos of these projects.  Viewers were able to see multiple areas of the represented facilities and how DORMA’s customizable product options can make any idea a reality.

The various digital mediums were a great success at AIA 2010 and will be implemented at future shows.

“Blue Pony went beyond my expectations.  They are truly a trusted and reliable source for DORMA and we will continue to utilize their services on future projects,” says Kim McDonnell of DORMA Group North America.

Dorma Group looked to Blue Pony for engaging corporate videos that embraced the theme of the Dorma trade show booth. The video below was played on two large LCD monitors facing two aisle ways. The objective was to provide visual representation to trade show attendees of Dorma projects and capabilities.

Flying high above the Dorma trade show booth was this projected video. The booth used rear projection screens which allowed visibility of the front and back of the projected surface and prevented the use of text. The goal of the sequence was to identify the booth location and owner, Dorma, as well as showcase the work of Dorma’s world wide facilities.
